Built by Georgians, for Georgia's Children

The story of a statewide collaborative, and the people carrying connection into every corner of the state.

Who we are

A network of neighbors who believe children heal in relationship

The TBRI Georgia Collaborative began with a handful of practitioners in Rome who kept meeting the same truth in different rooms: the children who struggle most are not broken, they are hurt, and healing runs through the adults around them. Today the Collaborative connects trained practitioners, champions, and practicing organizations across all fourteen DFCS regions, from school districts and foster agencies to churches and courtrooms.

We exist to do three things: train the adults in children's lives, connect the people doing the work so no one carries it alone, and help organizations build cultures where felt-safety is the norm rather than the exception.

Every county in Georgia has children waiting on an adult who understands. Our work is making sure that adult is already there.

THE TBRI GEORGIA COLLABORATIVE

The principles behind
the practice

TBRI® is built on three sets of principles, taught in every training we hold.

01

Empowering

Meeting physical needs first, because a regulated body is where a connected relationship begins.

02

Connecting

Building trust and felt-safety through attunement, engagement, and presence.

03

Correcting

Shaping behavior with structure and nurture together, so discipline teaches instead of wounds.

Around Georgia, in every kind of room

Wherever adults gather to learn connection, the network shows up.

Practitioner trainings and statewide gatherings across the network

What we do

Three commitments, carried out in every region.

Train

Caregiver series, practitioner trainings, and sector workshops held across the state and online, all on one calendar.

Connect

A statewide network of practitioners organized by region and sector, so the work never depends on one person.

Transform

Walking alongside schools, agencies, churches, and courts as they become trauma-responsive organizations.

This work has room for you

Whether you're a parent, a professional, or an organization ready to change its culture, there's a place to start.
